Reporting obligations: the fiscal year and the tax year
The financial year is the calendar year or other period of the 12 consecutive full calendar months, also used for tax purposes. Thus, a year is not the same as the calendar year. You do not have to start on January 1 and end on December 31. Valid only for the fiscal year included 12 consecutive months: it can begin July 1 and end June 30. Different year-ends are common in different countries. In some of the most popular will be 31 December, while in other 30 April, 30 September and so on.
